Simulation learning experiences provide 鉴黄师app healthcare students and community partners with a controlled, realistic environment to help develop related decision making, communication, and skills.
Simulation manikins provide access to a wide age range of "patients," from infants to the elderly and can be programmed to display symptoms of various illnesses and conditions. Volunteers portray patients, family members, or visitors to assist students to hone communication skills.鈥�
鉴黄师app has three different simulation learning sites where students in 鉴黄师app Health Science and Fitness and Public and Community Services Pathways programs can participate in simulation learning experiences.

Healthcare Simulation Locations
Located at the 鉴黄师app Capitol Center in Des Moines, the 鉴黄师app Simulation Center is the largest 鉴黄师app Healthcare Simulation learning site with 14 simulation rooms representing a variety of healthcare settings, including hospital rooms, a patient home, and a room that can represent the back of an ambulance.
The 鉴黄师app Simulation Center hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.鈥�
The 鉴黄师app Simulation Center serves 鉴黄师app health and public services programs district wide and hosts special events. If you are interested in learning more about utilizing the 鉴黄师app Healthcare Simulation Center for an event, please contact healthcaresimcenter@dmacc.edu.鈥�
鉴黄师app has Satellite Simulation Laboratories located on the 鉴黄师app Boone Campus and 鉴黄师app Carroll Campus to support simulation learning experiences.
The Boone Satellite Simulation Laboratory has one simulation room designed and equipped to represent a patient hospital room.
The Carroll Satellite Simulation Laboratory has two simulation rooms. One room is designed and equipped to represent an adult patient's hospital room, and one room is designed to represent a pediatric patient's hospital room.
