Scholarships are offered by public and private agencies, organizations, colleges, and universities.
Recipients are selected based on scholastic aptitude, essay, and financial need. Minimum or maximum awards vary. Scholarships are gift aid and do not need to be paid back. When applying for a scholarship, pay close attention to any application deadline so you don't miss out on potential funding opportunities.
- The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.
- Be a resident of or attend college in Story, Boone, or Marshall Counties of Iowa.
- Be a full or part-time student with a declared major in accounting or finance in a two-year, four-year or master鈥檚 program.
- Be committed to the mission of AFWA and exhibit enthusiasm for the accounting profession鈥
- Adults 18 years of age or older, facing economic, social or physical challenges who are looking to improve their situation through educational opportunities.
- Entering an accredited college, university or trade school for the first time; non-traditional students already enrolled in an accredited program, an individual seeking training due to changes in the workplace or who are otherwise not a traditional college/trade school student recently finished with high school.
- Must reside in Adair, Appanoose, Boone, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Ringgold, Story, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne or Webster County.
- Iowa resident
- Attending an eligible Iowa college or university
- Must have graduated from an eligible Iowa high school or completed a high school equivalency diploma within the last two years
- Be a first-time freshman in the fall of 2025 or spring of 2026 semesters (unless you are renewing your scholarship award)
- Enroll for at least 3 semester hours (or the trimester or quarter equivalent) in a program leading to an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and Iowa Financial Aid Application by March 1st
- Have an eligible SAI (Student Asset Inventory) on the 2025-2026 FAFSA. The SAI range for scholarship eligibility for 2024-2025 is (-1,500) 鈥 10,396.
- U.S. Citizen (or permanent resident).
- Enrolled (or enrolling) as full time student of accredited college/university within the United States for completion of undergraduate degree in Logistics or equivalent field.
- Limit of one (1) entry per contestant.
- Employees, professional affiliates, and agents of Allied Van Lines (and their immediate families) are not eligible.
- The applicant must comply with IRS rules to qualify for the tax-free benefits of the
scholarship, including following.
- It does not exceed your expenses;
- It is not designated or earmarked for other purposes (such as room and board), and does not require (by its terms) that it cannot be used for qualified education expense; and
- It does not represent payment for teaching, research, or other services required as a condition for receiving the scholarship.
- You must be a Candidate for a Degree. You are a Candidate for a Degree if
- Attend a primary or secondary school or are pursuing a degree at a college or university, or
- Attend an educational institution that:
- Provides a program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor's or higher degree, or offers a program of training to prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation; and
- Is authorized under federal or state law to provide such a program and is accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency
- Eligible educational institution. An eligible educational institution is one whose primary function is the presentation of formal instruction and that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the place where it carries on its educational activities. 鈥
- Have completed at least one semester (or quarter) of study in a program in funeral
service or mortuary science education accredited by the American Board of Funeral
Service Education.
- Students in coordinated programs are only eligible for an award during the period of attendance at the American Board accredited institution.
- Have at least one term or semester remaining in his/her program which will commence
after the award date (April or September) in order to be considered for a full award.
- Students with less than a full term of study remaining will be considered for partial awards.
- Complete all forms required by the Scholarship Committee of the American Board of
Funeral Service Education and submit them prior to the above deadline dates.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be considered by the committee.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
- Full-time student at a high school or accredited college, university, or community college
- Demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science (minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science
- Be planning a career in the chemical sciences
- Students intending to enter Pre-Med of Pharmacy programs are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Must provide certification of legal blindness from an ophthalmologist, optometrist or physician.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Two letters of recommendation from a current or recent instructor, career counselor or employer
- Proof of acceptance from a post-secondary school
- Have served as a Red Cross volunteer or employee
- Have completed the equivalent of at least one year of college credits.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited United States nursing school.
- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in good Academic standing.
- Student pursuing an Associate Degree in Welding.

- Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census.

- Be currently enrolled in a degree program in nursing, social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or any related field.
- Be a working student, meaning you are currently employed while pursuing your degree.
- Have a strong commitment to a career in healthcare or wellness.

- For students pursuing a Nursing Degree or a Nurse Practitioner Degree from any accredited United States College or University.
- Applicant must be a graduate of a Lee County Iowa High School: Central Lee High School, Keokuk High School, Fort Madison High School or Holy Trinity High School.
- 鈥婼tudent pursuing a heavy machinery themed program.
- The program can be at a college or trade school anywhere in the United States or Canada.
- $1,000 scholarship.
- Child or sibling of a deceased service member that died while serving in an active military status since September 11, 2001.
- Qualifying Service Member is any of the following:
- was a resident of Iowa at the time of entering military service
- was assigned to unit based in Iowa at the time of death
- was a resident of Iowa at the time of death
- Death does not have to be combat-related
- Active military status includes active federal service in the Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserves
- Student is attending or will attend an Iowa post-secondary educational institution
- Unique applications presented to the scholarship committee in writing will be considered on a case-by case basis.
- Applicant must be directly affected by childhood cancer (including individuals who currently have or have had cancer before age 18, or a sibling of that individual)
- Applicant must be within Children's Cancer Connection service area (living, treated or diagnosed in the state of Iowa)
- Applicant must attend an accredited two or four year institution (trade school, college or university)
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Applicant must be currently attending (at the time of application) a school that offers an auto collision/auto body program and taking auto collision/auto body classes.
- Applicant must have studied collision repair for at least one full semester prior to applying.

The Sallie Mae Fund is awarding 50 to help students cover unexpected expenses and complete their post-secondary education.
Here鈥檚 what to know:

Eligibility at a Glance:
- Be enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college, career training, or other post-secondary education program, full-or-part-time
- Be on track to complete their program during the 2026鈥27 academic year
- Be in good academic standing and facing a financial need that could prevent them from completing their program
- Student must be enrolled in an accredited institution in a program of study that prepares them for a career in health care & minimum of 20 volunteer hours must be completed before application is submitted. (Healthcare volunteering hours are strongly preferred, but not required.)

- Applicants must have 2.0 minimum GPA but not more than a 3.5 GPA.

- The scholarships are designed to assist graduating seniors in pursuing a post-secondary education in any state at an accredited institution which provides a two or four year college program.
- The scholarships may be used for any bona fide school related expense such as tuition, fees, and books.
- Applicant must be pursuing a science, technology, engineering or math degree
- Overall Cum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Applicant must be of Hispanic descent and/or must significantly demonstrate leadership or service within the underserved community.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program for the upcoming fall semester, at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in the U.S.
- Enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university, or career/technical training program for the coming academic year
- Be a resident of the State of Iowa
- All applicants must complete the Banzai Teen 4-Part Financial Education Program
- Student must currently be enrolled in an accredited health care career program leading to clinical licensure, a public health role, or a health care leadership role
- Student must have completed one semester in program.
- Student must be enrolled at least part time (min of 6 credits)
- Student must reside in or have graduated from a high school in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital service area of Butler, Grundy, Harding and Tama counties or currently work at Grundy County Memorial Hospital.
- Student must have a cumulative post-secondary GPA maintained at 2.5 or higher
- Must be of Hispanic Heritage
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA

- 鈥婽his $1,500 scholarship is for employees of IHCA member organizations who are pursuing a nursing, health care administration or a physical or occupational training program.

- Admittance to, or good academic standing in an eligible program (see website for list)
- Resident of Iowa. Attending a school outside Iowa does not negate residency. If the applicant was a resident of Iowa prior to attending school or if her (his) parents are residents, this will constitute residency. An active non-resident member of BPW/Iowa may also apply provided she/he has been a member for five (5) years. Active means attends local & state meetings; participates in projects.

- Wants/needs to reenter the workforce but needs additional education.
- Wants to start or resume a college education. Graduated high school five (5) or more years (2021 or before).

- Been referred by a local domestic violence program
- Completed the Allstate Foundation Financial Literacy curriculum offered at your local domestic violence program.
- Survivors are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all of the items listed above.
- Enrolled at an accredited U.S. 2-year or 4-year junior college, college or university, or graduate school, in a program of study that can equip the student to contribute to the agriculture industry in Iowa.
- Applicant must be an Iowa Corn Growers Association member or son/daughter of an ICGA member.
- Blind or visually impaired* prior to reaching the age of 21
- An Iowa resident for at least twelve months preceding the application date
- A high school graduate or a graduating senior, or a GED recipient
- Applying for the scholarship within eight (8) years of high school graduation date or GED completion date
- Pursuing a post-secondary course of study on a full-time** basis in a degree program from an accredited college, university, or vocational institution within the United States
- Maintaining a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average
- Resident of the State of Iowa
- A high school senior OR non-traditional student returning to college in the State of Iowa.
- Currently a full-time student at any college, university, or community college in the State of Iowa.
- An Environmental Health major or related field.
- Sons and daughters of Iowa Farm Bureau members are eligible, and must apply in the county where their Farm Bureau membership is held. If membership is held in more than one county, only one application may be submitted to a county Farm Bureau office.
- Students pursuing the completion of a two- or four-year college degree pursuing a major in agriculture, nursing, or education are eligible to apply for an Iowa Farm Bureau scholarship. Specific fields of study eligible for the award can be found in the application.鈥
- Recipients must maintain a cumulative minimum 2.5 grade point average throughout their college career and maintain at least a 12-hour workload or be considered by the college to be a full-time student paying full-time tuition.鈥嬧嬧 The IFBF Scholarship will be applied toward tuition fees only.
- Be a legal Iowa resident and intend to practice funeral service in Iowa upon graduation
- Have completed two years and have accumulated 60 credits at an accredited college or university

- Accepted as a full-time student at a fully-accredited Iowa college or university majoring in an art field
- The ISL Education Lending Scholarship awards 45 deposits of $1000 into ISave 529 accounts (formerly College Savings Iowa) for Iowa residents in high school (9th through 12th grade) or undergraduate college students, or the parents, guardians or others who hold an ISave 529 account for high-school or undergraduate college students.
The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship is open to students who are:
- Legal U.S. residents.
- Residents of Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin.
- High school seniors at a high school in Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin.
- Planning to attend, physically or virtually, an eligible college the fall following the registration dates.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Be of minority ethnic status as defined by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Iowa high school graduate & resident of Iowa OR a Non-Iowa resident attending an Iowa college or university
- Work for an IHCA member nursing facility, assisted living program, residential care facility, home health agency, home care provider or independent senior living community in good standing at the time of application and at the time the scholarships are awarded.
- Enrolled or accepted in an accredited school of nursing and pursuing an RN degree.
- Submit a complete application form, including a 500-word essay, acceptance letter or transcript and two letters of recommendation, by May 31. 鈥

- Applicants must study at any of Iowa鈥檚 colleges, universities, or technical/vocational trade schools. We support our recipients beyond associate or bachelor鈥檚 degree pursuits, which means we include graduate, doctoral, or professional study.

- You must answer all questions and complete the essays.
- If you change schools, you must notify Latinos Unidos of Iowa.
- After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email that we have received the application.

- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and community service on and off campus
- Be a well-rounded individual, actively involved in both academic and community activities
- In addition, applicants should demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:
- Integrity & Positive Character 鈥 Upholds respect, compassion, and responsibility in daily life
- Proven Impact 鈥 Has made a meaningful difference in their school, workplace, or community
- Diversity of Involvement 鈥 Engages in a variety of activities, organizations, or roles
- Future-Oriented Goals 鈥 Aspires to contribute positively to their community and/or field after graduation
- Recommendation/Endorsement 鈥 Can provide support from a teacher, advisor, mentor, or community leader
- LifeServe will award a $250 or $500 scholarship to students who organize a successful blood drive during specified dates in summer months (Memorial Day-Labor Day) or winter months (December-January).
- To be eligible to win, students much recruit a minimum of 25 donors at their blood drive for the $250 scholarship, and a minimum of 40 donors at their blood drive for the $500 scholarship.

- Must be enrolled in, have been accepted to and will be attending a college of nursing or medicine, leading to an LPN, RN or MD degree.

- Participate in the entire national Federation of the Blind national convention and in all scheduled scholarship program activities.

- Applicant must be a NEW Cooperative member, a dependent of a NEW Cooperative member, or a dependent of a full-time NEW Cooperative employee at the time of application.

- Applicants must have a major declared in a science related field.

- Enrolled or accepted for enrollment (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree, or diploma) with a declared major in a science related field.

- Sophomore student currently attending a community college in Iowa, who intends to transfer to one of the participating four-year institutions as a junior in the fall semester of the award year.

- Work in a regulated preschool, child care center, or home program with children birth to age 5
- Have worked in current program for at least 3 months and be working 30 hours per week (part-day models available for those working at least 20 hours per week)
- Be working towards an Early Childhood Degree, credential, or endorsement at an Iowa College
- Support of your employer and proof of participation in a quality initiative (such as QRS, Head Start, or NAEYC accreditation)
- 鈥婥urrent enrollment in two- or four-year college
- Enrollment in a two- or four-year college for the upcoming academic year
- Pursuing a program of study in any field of conservation or agriculture
- Have a permanent address located within Tama County or be a Tama County native
- Those who have battled cancer at any point in their lives (not limited to mesothelioma).
- Those who have a parent, sibling, immediate family member or close friend that has battled or is currently fighting cancer.
- Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year university, community college or junior college, or a graduate degree program.
- This scholarship is offered nationwide to United States citizens.
- Students must be in academic 鈥淕ood Standing鈥 and have a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible.
