The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation offers two application cycles each academic year.
For the 2026-2027 academic year please apply during the following dates:
- Cycle 1: December 2, 2025 – March 1, 2026
- Cycle 2: May 1, 2026 – July 15, 2026
Eligibility
An applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications to be eligible for a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarship:
- Earned a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma before the start of the upcoming fall term.
- Be a current ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student.
Incoming students who do not have a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app User Name or Password must first complete an application for admission to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app and be admitted to the College before applying for a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarship. - Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Enrolled at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the fall and spring terms or enrolled in a minimum of 4 credit hours for summer term.
Please note: Students on financial aid suspension or attending ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app as a guest student are not eligible for a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Scholarship.
Eligibility criteria vary depending on the specific scholarship. Some scholarships may require:
- A grade point average (GPA) higher than the minimum 2.0.
- Status as an incoming student or a second-year student at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- Enrollment in a specific academic program.
- Residency in a particular geographic area.
- Completion of community service or participation in co-curricular activities.

Application Process
The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation offers two application cycles each academic year.
For the 2026-2027 academic year:
- Cycle 1: December 1, 2025 – March 1, 2026
- Cycle 2: May 1, 2026 – July 15, 2026
Applicants must submit original work for the essay portion of the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarship application. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for writing the applicant’s essay is prohibited. The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation will use AI detection tools if AI use is suspected in the application. If the use of AI is confirmed, the applicant will be disqualified from scholarship consideration.

No, you only need to complete the General Scholarship Application. The single application will automatically match you with scholarships for which you qualify. Additionally, if your answers or student record qualify you for other scholarships, you will receive a notification in the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System with instructions on any additional steps required.
Students are only eligible to receive one ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Scholarship per term. If by chance you are awarded two, the larger of the two will be the one posted to your student account.
Yes, the General Application is essential for determining your eligibility for ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarships. Each scholarship has unique eligibility requirements, and by completing the General Application, you will be matched to the scholarship opportunities that align with your qualifications.
When you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email from scholarships@dmacc.edu. This email will be sent to your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student email address. You can also track your application status at any time by logging into the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System.
You may review and edit your application until the submission deadline. Once submitted, your application is considered complete and cannot be changed after the deadline. Be sure to finalize and submit your application before the deadline to ensure it is eligible for review.
Once the application period closes, your application will be locked, and you will no longer be able to edit your answers or upload files. At that point, applications will be assigned to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarship review committees. These committees consist of community volunteers, as well as ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app faculty and staff.
The review process may take up to 30 days or longer, depending on the number of applications received. Scholarship recipients will be notified via their ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student email with a message from scholarships@dmacc.edu.
Although it is highly recommended that you complete the FAFSA, is it not a requirement. Please keep in mind that some scholarships do require a student to demonstrate financial need, while other scholarships do not have this requirement. For scholarships that require a student to have demonstrated financial need, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation uses the FAFSA to determine a student’s eligibility.
Scholarships Awards and Disbursement
The review process timeline depends on the number of applications received. Once the review committees have selected scholarship recipients, the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation will notify recipients via email.
The scholarship notification email will include:
- The name of the scholarship.
- The term in which the scholarship will be applied.
- The scholarship amount.
- Any specific requirements the recipient must meet to retain the scholarship throughout the academic year.
- Information on submitting a thank you letter to the donor.
This email will be sent to your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student email address from scholarships@dmacc.edu. The review process typically takes about 30 days.
The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Scholarship Office communicates with scholarship recipients via the student's ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app email account. You will receive an email notification via your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app email account. It is important that applicants check their ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app email on a regular basis in order to receive important notices regarding their scholarship award and requirements throughout the academic year. You can also track the status of your scholarship application through the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System.

Applicants selected to receive a scholarship will be notified via the student's ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app email account. Scholarship recipients will receive an electronic scholarship offer through the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System. The scholarship notification email will include the name of the scholarship, the term when the scholarship will be awarded to the student, the amount of the scholarship, and any specific scholarship criteria that is required for the scholarship recipient to follow in order to retain the scholarship through the academic year. The scholarship notification email will be sent from scholarships@dmacc.edu. Failure to accept the scholarship agreement and complete the post-acceptance scholarship requirements by the deadline will result in forfeiture of the scholarship offer.
Scholarships awarded by the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation are directly applied to a student’s ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app account. With over 200 scholarships available, each has unique criteria and conditions.
Here’s how scholarships are typically disbursed:
- Most scholarships are divided into two equal payments over the academic year, provided the student remains enrolled for each term.
- Scholarships designated for a specific semester apply only to that term.
- Scholarships may be used to cover tuition, fees, and/or book charges. However, if specified by the scholarship criteria, the award amount may be adjusted to ensure it does not exceed the recipient’s tuition and fees.

¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarships are made possible through the generosity of hundreds of donors. Students who receive scholarships from the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation are required to write a Thank You note to the donor who has made their scholarship possible. You will be required to write and submit your Thank You note prior to your scholarship award being disbursed to your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student account. You will be asked to submit the Thank You note directly through the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System. Failure to submit your Thank You note will result in forfeiture of your scholarship.
If you have not met the criteria for your scholarship because you have suffered undue hardship, you may submit an appeal to scholarships@dmacc.edu. In your email, please provide a personal statement explaining the hardship and how the hardship negatively impacted your ability to maintain the scholarship requirements. Your submission will be reviewed by the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation. Please remember that it is the student’s responsibility to pay all outstanding balances by the fee payment deadline while waiting for a decision. Regardless of the decision, the student is responsible for any late fees incurred and/or any scheduled payment plan drafts.
Technical Issues
To apply for a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Scholarship, you must first be a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student. This means you need to complete the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app admissions application and be accepted. Once accepted, you will use your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student ID and password to log in to the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System.
Important for Concurrently Enrolled Students: If you are a concurrently enrolled student, you still need to apply to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app and be officially accepted to be eligible for a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Scholarship. Without completing this step, your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app account information will not populate in the system, and you may miss out on scholarship opportunities due to incomplete information.
Select the Applicant Record tab on the left side of the screen. This tab contains data imported from the College’s student records and cannot be updated through the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System. If you need to update your student record information, please login to My¼ø»ÆÊ¦app using your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app student ID and password or contact the Registrar's office directly.
Before you can log in to the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation Award Management System, you must first be officially accepted to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app. After your acceptance, it may take a few business days for the system to process and update your information. Please allow time for this update before attempting to log in.

Writing Assistance
The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Foundation scholarship application consists of multiple choice, fill-in, and two essay questions. If you need assistance with your essays, please contact one of the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Academic Achievement Centers. The ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Academic Achievement Centers are located at each of the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Campuses and available to you if you are:
- A full-time and part-time student seeking assistance with college course work, especially in the areas of math, science, English, reading, and study skills.
- An adult working toward high school completion (HiSET or high school equivalency diploma (HSED Option #2) or completing a program of basic literacy skills (ABE).
- A student pursuing studies for academic upgrading, prerequisites or enrichment.
