It鈥檚 a celebratory week throughout the 鉴黄师app district as the college celebrates the achievements of graduating students 鈥� starting Wednesday evening with the Metro Commencement Ceremony, where a sea of 1,200 students in 鉴黄师app-blue caps and gowns will flood the Casey鈥檚 Center in downtown Des Moines.
On Friday, graduating Bears will walk the stage to receive their diplomas at 鉴黄师app鈥檚 Boone Campus and Carroll Campus.
About 1,500 total graduates are expected to participate in the ceremonies, which represent students who completed or will complete coursework in the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 terms.
Among this year鈥檚 graduates are 185 high school students who have earned their Associate of Arts degrees through 鉴黄师app鈥檚 Career Advantage program 鈥� a record-breaking number that continues to grow each year (137 in 2025, 106 in 2024 and 80 in 2023).
The ceremonies are free of charge, and no tickets are required.

Who: Graduates from the Ankeny, Newton, Urban, and West Campuses, as well as 鉴黄师app Online graduates
Additional Information: There is no limit on the number of guests, and no tickets are required. The Metro Commencement ceremony will be livestreamed.
BOONE CAMPUS COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
When: Friday, May 8, 2026, 10 a.m.
Where: 鉴黄师app Boone Campus Gymnasium, 1125 Hancock Drive, Boone, Iowa
CARROLL CAMPUS COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
When: Friday, May 8, 2026, 4:30 p.m.
