Eligibility/ General Information
- 50 eligible ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app students may Cross Enroll at Drake University, Grand View University,
or Iowa State University each Fall or Spring Semester
- Eligible students may enroll in 1 class with tuition charges waived
- Financial responsibility: books, special course fees and online technology fees at
Drake, Grand View or ISU
- Currently enrolled full time at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app (12 credit hours) for term they wish to cross-enroll. The 12 credits does not include
the cross-enrolled course
- Previously earned 12 credits (including transfer credit)
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater
Note: Students ineligible for under cross enrollment are still permitted to register
as a regular or guest student. Expect to satisfy admission requirements and pay full
tuition and fees at the host institution.
Rules/Guidelines
- Cross Enrollment is processed & monitored in the Ankeny Campus Registration Office.
- Students must apply for cross-enrollment each term they wish to cross-enroll.
- The Cross Enrollment Application is not a guarantee of enrollment at Drake, Grand View or ISU. It’s a validation of eligibility
and a request for enrollment.
- Each institution may exclude certain courses from the Cross Enrollment Program. Enrollment is subject to seats available
and or prerequisites at the host institution.
- Eligible ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app students must maintain their full time status at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app for the semester
they wish to cross-enroll or they may be billed tuition charges by the host institution.
- Students must ensure that their cross-enrolled course will be applicable to their
¼ø»ÆÊ¦app program/degree.
- Students are responsible for understanding and complying with all policies and deadlines
at the host institution.
- The deadline to request Cross Enrollment is 5 business days prior to the start of
each institution's semester. No course changes, other than drops, are permitted after this point.
- Credits earned at the host institution are reflected as transfer credit on the cross-enrolled
student's official ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app transcript. Transcripts are sent automatically between cross-enrollment
institutions.
Procedure for ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app students
- Register for a minimum of 12 credits at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- Meet with a ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Academic Advisor to discuss academic goals, degree requirements,
cross enrollment eligibility, course selection and cross enrollment procedure.
- If you are eligible for cross enrollment, your advisor will email you a link to the
electronic application.
- Log in with your ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Username and Password to complete the Cross Enrollment Application
& Tuition Waiver.
- Your advisor’s full name and email must be entered in the form before it can be submitted.
- If your advisor approves, the electronic form is routed to the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Registrar’s Office
for review.
- If approved by the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app’s Registrar’s Office, your form is routed to the host institution.
- If you were successfully registered, a confirmation email will be sent from the host
institution.
- You will be contacted by the host institution via email if further information is
required.

Drake, Grand View Students - Interested in Cross Enrollment at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app
Eligibility
- Available to undergraduates in the fall and spring semesters only.
- Students must remain enrolled full-time (12 credits) at their home institution for
the semester they wish to cross-enroll. If student falls below full time, tuition
fees may be billed by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- The student must have previously completed 12 college credits (including transfer
credit) prior to the semester in which cross enrollment is requested.
- Students must be in good academic standing at their home institution (cumulative 2.0
GPA or higher).
Note: Students who attend another college full time and are unsuccessful in cross
enrolling at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app may apply as a Guest Student. ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Admission requirements must be satisfied and regular tuition/fees will be
assessed.
Enrollment Guidelines
- An eligible Drake or Grand View student may cross enroll in only 1 course– up to 3 credits per semester (in fall or spring semester).
- The cross enrollment deadline is 5 business days prior to the start of ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app's semester.
No course changes, other than drops, are permitted after this point.
- Students are required to apply for cross enrollment each term they wish to cross enroll
on a first come first serve basis.
- Only 2 students from either Drake or Grand View are allowed to cross-enroll in a single
section at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- Cross enrolled students need to understand ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app and deadlines.
- The Cross Enrollment Application does not guarantee enrollment.
- The credits earned at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will be reflected as transfer credit on the students'
official Drake or Grand View transcript.
- If a student is interested in taking one course under cross enrollment that's more than 3 credits, the student is responsible to pay for any additional credits.
- Each institution reserves the right to exclude certain courses from the Cross Enrollment
program.
For Drake and Grand View students, courses with the following prefixes are excluded
from the Cross Enrollment Program effective Fall 2017.

Student Responsibilities:
- Review ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app semester and course start/end dates. Some courses begin earlier or later
than the full semester. Also review ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app deadlines, and policies.
- Ensure the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class will be acceptable toward the student's degree/program at Drake
or Grand View and the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app course is available under Cross enrollment. See the table above.
- Check the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app website for the current Course Schedule. Select multiple courses in case you are unable to be cross enrolled in your first
choice.
- Students taking a Math Course at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app – must have satisfied one of the following within 18 months of registration.
- Earned a C- or better in the prerequisite course
- Earned an appropriate ALEKS score prior to requesting Cross Enrollment in a math course. Visit the Math Placement webpage for details.
- Look for an Email confirmation from ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app regarding the status of your cross enrollment.
- Pay for book(s), special course materials & technology fees (if applicable) for the
¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class.
- Attend and participate in the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class as ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app may administratively drop students
who do not attend their course.
- Know and understand the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app drop deadlines. If a student does not successfully complete the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app course, they may be billed
tuition fees by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- After final grades have been submitted, each institution will automatically exchange official transcripts for the cross-enrolled
students.
- If a student has a past due account balance at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app, their official transcript will
not be released until their ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app account is paid in full.
Instructions for Drake students to cross enroll at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app:
- Students first meet with an advisor at their home institution to discuss cross enrollment.
- Complete & sign the Cross Enrollment Application and Tuition Waiver. The Subject, Course number and Course reference number (CRN) are required.
- List multiple courses options in case the first choice is unavailable.
- A Drake Official must sign the form to confirm eligibility.
- The Cross enrollment contact at Drake is Sara Schoneberg (515-271-2155).
- Drake will send the completed cross enrollment applications to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app, electronically.
Requests are processed in the order received.
- Registrations will be processed at the same time that New Arts & Science students
are permitted to enroll at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.

¼ø»ÆÊ¦app information.
Instructions for Grand View students to cross enroll at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app:
- Students first meet with an advisor at their home institution to discuss cross enrollment.

- Complete & sign the Cross Enrollment Application/Tuition Waiver. The Subject, Course number and Course reference number (CRN) are required.
- List multiple courses options in case the first choice is unavailable.
- A Grand View Official must sign the form to confirm eligibility.
- Grand View will send the completed applications to ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app, electronically. Requests
are processed in the order received.
- Registrations will be processed by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app at the same time that New Arts & Science
students are permitted to enroll at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.

ISU Students - Interested in Cross Enrollment at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app
Eligibility
- The program is available only to undergraduates and is available only in the fall and spring semesters.
- ISU students must be registered full-time (at least 12 credits - not including the
cross enrolled course) for the semester in which they want to cross-enroll.
- Cross-enrolled students must maintain their full-time status at ISU for the semester
in which they are cross-enrolled, or they are subject to getting billed tuition charges
by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app.
- Students not able to cross-enroll, are still permitted to register for the class as a regular student (not cross-enrolled). Consequently, students would need to complete ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app Admission requirements and pay
all tuition and fees.
Guidelines
- Cross-enrollment is available on a first come, first-served basis. Students must apply
for cross-enrollment status for each semester that they wish to cross-enroll.
- The rules & requirements, policies, semester start & end dates, and other deadlines
set by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app might be different than those at ISU. Cross-enrolled students are responsible for knowing and complying with ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app policies
and deadlines.
- The Cross Enrollment application does not guarantee enrollment at ISU. It a validation of eligibility and a request for enrollment.
- Cross-enrollment status will be finalized by ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app, 5 business days prior to the start
of ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app's semester. No course changes, other than drops are permitted after this point.
- The credits earned at ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will be reflected as transfer credit on the cross-enrolled
students' official ISU transcript.
Procedure for ISU students:
1. Pre-Registration:
- Students must make sure that the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class they wish to cross enroll in will be
applicable toward their ISU program/degree.
- The current schedule of classes will be published on the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app web site.
- Review ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app semester start/end dates, deadlines, and policies since they may not
be the same as those at ISU.
- Cross-enrollment is not guaranteed. Students should have an alternate plan in case
they are unable to cross-enroll successfully.
2. Registration Process:
- Contact the ISU Registrar's Office to determine if space is available.
- Complete & sign the Cross Enrollment Application/Tuition Waiver & list 3 course selections,
if possible. The Subject, Course and Section Numbers are required.
- An authorized ISU official must sign the application to confirm eligibility.
- ISU will send the completed Cross Enrollment Application/Tuition Waiver to the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app
Ankeny Campus Registration Office for processing.
- ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will process requests in the order received, at the same time that New ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app
Arts and Science students are permitted to enroll.
- ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will send an email to the student and ISU which will confirm cross enrollment
OR explain any enrollment restrictions.
- ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app will continue this process until the 50-student limit is reached.
3. Student Responsibilities:
- Look for a confirmation Email regarding cross enrollment status.
- Cost of books, materials & technology fees (if applicable) for the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class.
- Provide course details to the appropriate campus bookstore to purchase book(s) or
visit the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app bookstore online.
- Attend and participate in the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app class.
- Know and understand ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app drop deadlines.
- If a student does not successfully complete the ¼ø»ÆÊ¦app course they may be billed for
tuition fees.
4. End of Term: After final grades have been submitted, each institution will automatically exchange official transcripts for the cross-enrolled
students.
